1st World Scout Jamboree – 1920

Fun Fact: At this Jamboree, BSA Chief Scout Executive James West awarded Baden-Powell the title of Great Indian Chief, but during the ceremony a young Scout shouted ‘Long Live the Chief Scout of the World!’. It was a title that stuck and has never been used by another since BP.

2nd World Scout Jamboree – 1924

Dalajamb 1979

The 15th World Scout Jamboree was to be held in Iran in 1979, but the Shah of Iran fell and it was canceled. Instead the King of Sweden held Dalajamb for Scouts in its place until the 15th World Scout Jamboree could be rescheduled.
